There was a mod like this in YaBB Gold, never really looked at the code but I imagine javascript was used.

Hmm, your not talking about a web page pop up are you? Well I might be able to make a little java script pop up thing... I think it would be a real annoying feature though, so I guess I would need to make it optional for each user.

no, it wasn't a pop up but an alert saying you have X number of new IM's.

It would be handy for the users to be able to switch off the popup/alert...

I am going to make it so users can turn it off if they don't want to see the popup... I especially want this because I don't want to see the popup myself. :P

It would be cool to make the pop up on by default, that way those who didn't even know there was an IM center will when someone IM's them.

That is the way it is going to be, you will have to turn it off in the Instant Message Center.

I like the idea of an optional pop up window to indicate you have a new pm.....

and I'm looking around, and maybe I've missed it, but something else to add to this Mod would be not only would it tell you an alert or whatever for new IM's but also give you check box so that you can select multiple PM's for deletion rather than just one at a time or all.

Did I make sense or just ramble..LOL ::)

An advance IM center is in the works by the YaBBSE developers so I guess you should suggest it to them.

As for the new messages thing and the popup, I was wanting this for my site since I am integrating my board and site. So I decided I would turn it into a mod for yall.

The alert script is now implemented and should work. If it works for yall and yall don't report any bugs, I am going to release it today... probably within the next few hours at that.
