Cannot use database yabbse - Step 2

I may be a moron, but do I need to create a database or should it be done for me already? I know my server has the correct settings and it supports PHP and MySQL, etc... What could I be doing wrong? Please help.

The exact message I am getting is:

"Cannot use database yabbse, connection to server succeeded by the way."

I can give you only a few tips: Check your password/username/database name - it might be that they are case-sensitive ! If you use 1.0 delete the prefix "_yabbse".

How can I find out what my DB name is?

Didn't you get the name from your host ?

MySQL servername
MySQL username
MySQL password
DB name

No, I guess I should write them and get it. This could be half my problem.

I received all that information from the Host and it still doesn't work....I am however using 1.0 and do you mean delete "yabbse_". If not what do you mean?

Another thing is that they just set this up for me, could it be that it didn't take to the server yet?

Please help!

Quick Question: Did he get back to you, or did he just go ahead and fix it and he let you know that it was done? Or was there a process over a few emails?

you dont have to upload it... your host should have like a control panel for your website that gives you all you need. and should have a database manager there.
