SPLIT threads mod

I REALLY hate it when you have an amazing topic started and a great conversation is going on.... then 15 posts down the line someone starts talking about something else entirely which might not be a great way of posting but still has either valid points.. or another great direction for discussion (or both) so what do I do? lock the thread? remove the message from the board? OR SPLIT the thread into a new conversation (with a link maybe?) on another part of the forum... I'm not sure how possible this would be but it would save a lot of headaches on my forum... I also remember this being commented on previously but having checked through the board unfortunatly I'm unable to find anything on the suggestion in either mod ideas or the FAQ. Possibly meaning it was lost with the DB problem Would love to know if its being worked on for 1.2.0 thanks EDIT: 1.3.0 .... I cant count (\)
