How Do You Put "Users Online" On A Site?

I'm not sure where to ask this, but if someone can help, i'd appreciate it. How can you add "Users Online", and displays the logged in users? And how do you add "Welcome Guest" if not logged in and "Welcome "name"!" when a person is logged in. If you can help me, thank you!

The file that comes in the 1.1.0 package called SSI.php does just that...there is a sticky thread in Bugs 1.1.0 with a new SSI.php I think.

is this "mod" available with yabb se?  i don't want to install any hacks/mods because i really screwed my forum up last time :-/
