Nationality Mod - now I need help since my schedule forbids...

Now this is a nationality mod, it was a great idea created by none other then ME a long time ago on the original yabb board.   Of course no one likes us puerto ricans and gives us what we want...but yabb se is different. Yabb SE wants to be the best ever and this nationality mod is the way...

WHAT I HAVE IN MIND IS..........

Since I have already downloaded, all 187 countries in the world I think we need to have this mod.

When someone edits or fills out their profile for the first time, we need a NATIONALITY FIELD, not that someone can type in, but one with a drop down box, with every possible nationality.

Never fear I have come up with a good idea for that as well...  We have another drop down box on the left as an optional, meaning if they do not choose from their only one nationality will show.

IN their profile the flag will appear of course in the best suitable location, however, in the post the flag should show in the IP Log line or  in the Signature section.

I need someone to aid me in coming up with a great mod. No other (GREAT) board has this where the flags will show up in their posts and profile.

Simple, two flags will appear side by side or on top, whichever fits properly...

"but rican what about if we are Mexicans or another race and american also"  

great question...easy answer...

There will be options on the top of the first section pull down box which will be...

American - Mexican
American - Puerto rican
American - German, and so forth and so forth, then, if this is choosen a larger american flag along with a smaller country flag will appear in the profile.

If it would offend various countries, we can add a mod disabling AMERICAN BIASNESS LoL

A:- Members can write in their profile where they come from. And mostly that tells us their nationality.

B:- There is more nationalities then countries, right?

a. One that would be dull, just text wow who hasnt done that. Wouldnt you rather want to see the flag and the text of someone posting????I think that would be neat, a mini flag with font size=1 face=veranda sized country or nationality name.

b. Nationalities, countries, either or... we must decide.

c.  Would not be racist, would be an option. Since individual board masters would have the right to use it or not!!!

If you can specify Gender, why not Nationality.

I think you are correct.  

Maybe it should be typed in. If someone types it wrong, all they get is the text...

However if spelled properly, they could get the mini country flag as well...

WHO HAS THE PROGRAMMING skills to make this happen....

It is very simple...
1. add a field to the profile for nationality. (much like klumy said about gender)

2.  add the if statements to call onto the flags and put them right in the table where the signature is at, create a nice table under there or somewhere nice...

flags are not bad, bud consume too much bandwidth, I think. just think about 200 different flags. maybe we just should make 6 flags. one flag for each continent?
