Got error 28 from table handler

Problem Description:
My forums disappeared and have the error indicated.

"Got error 28 from table handler"

Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

To be honest, I've never actually had an Error 28 myself so I've never had to deal with it on any of my boards, but I've seen it crop up here a fair number of times!

Well, that depends...

While SMF is certainly the way to go and we're hoping everyone will be upgrading soon, the Error 28 is basically a separate issue.
