Shared login with SigmaChat?

I would like to have a SigmaChat chatroom use the SE (and SMF, of course) member database for registration and login instead of the SigmaChat one.

I tried two different versions of a script posted by David Recordon, but it isn't working for me, and David is not sure what needs to be done.

Has anyone else written a script to accomplish this, and if so, where can I find it?
