YaBB SE Version: 1.5.4
PHP Version: 4.1.2
MySQL Version: 3.23.x
Server Platform: Unix, Linux, or BSD

Problem Description:
ok i have no idea, this is the second install of this (1st MacOSX works fine) when i installed it on red hat 7.3 to have a play with it.  All works fine but i can't post anything i can change proifile, settings etc and also make a new a poll, but when i do new topic.  I get an error

An Error Has Occurred!

Failure in submission of form. Session timeout.

any help would be cool, io'm going mad here

Can you reply to the existing topic?

Are you using frames?

hard to do as its on my internal network  :'(

i can post log files but i can't find any that are any use ie tell me whats going on

in the web interface 'View forum error log' shows me the error is:-

/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=post2
Failure in submission of form. Session timeout.

I thought i would say i first had a go at the perl one but could not get it started - that would have not messed it up would it ?

I have deleted it now any way

Hmm... okay.  Well, alright.  Is your session.save_path set to a valid path?

this may sound silly but i can't find where i would set the path ie what file ?

I'm sorry... php.ini.  On linux, this should be /var/php.ini or something.  Make sure it is set to a directory you have with 777.

Also, I'd recommend having "display_errors" set to On.

Wel its fixed but not sure why the session.save_path was fine but i gave the logs a path and set also being able to upload html (thought it may help.  Rebooted the web server and not it works - still not really sure why ?????
