I didnt release a new version, I simple said you can now get the mod from my webserver or goosemooses. I received complaints that people had problems downloading it and since this site doesnt offer the ability to upload and store modes in an organized fashion I created a new post and offered the file from my website..

I don't know about this. I saw the .mod file, and all it does is screw up my template. Is there a complete set of instructions for us newbies? I haven't installed one mod in my whole life for YaBB SE and I've had it for a looong time. Help!

I would still like to have this chat float by default when the chat button is pressed instead of having a new window open up with the forum info there. I am still unable to do this... Any help?

if you open the mod file in notepad you will see what the mod is searching for and wants to replace with. it is pretty simple.

If you want email me your main file [email protected] and Ill edit it for you.

Try this in the body tag
onLoad="document.cs.doFloat()"

They should be removed for you. I recommend that you disable the rooms tab, should be an option in the admin controls iff not add roomstab=false to the line of code in chat.php.  I would also make the room secret in the rooms options so that no one can see it in the rooms list. then you will be isolated on the chat server.

I have tried that in the body of chat.php but all I get is the text printed out. Where should I put it? Here is my current chat.php info:

<?
function ChatRoom() {
global $username,$user,$db_prefix,$modSettings,$yytitle;

$yytitle = "Chat Room Mod";
template_header();

$user=urldecode($user);
$request = mysql_query("SELECT passwd,realName FROM {$db_prefix}members WHERE memberName='$user'");
$memsettings = mysql_fetch_array($request);
$chatAppend = $modSettings['chatAppend'];
$chatWidth = $modSettings['chatWidth'];
$chatHeight = $modSettings['chatHeight'];
$chatRoomsTab = $modSettings['chatRoomsTab'];
$chatPassword = $modSettings['chatPassword'];
$chatName = str_replace(" ","_",$memsettings['realName']);
$chatName = str_replace(".","_",$chatName);
$initialchar = substr($chatName,0,1);
if ( ($initialchar >= "0")  &&  ($initialchar <= "9") ) {
  $chatName = "_" . $chatName;
  }
$chatName = $chatName . $chatAppend;
$chatLanguage = $modSettings['chatLanguage'] . ".prm";
$chatRoomName = $modSettings['chatRoomName'];

print<<<EOT

<center>
<table border="1" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" width="100%" height="520" id="AutoNumber1">
 <tr>
    <td width="100%"><center><script language="JavaScript" src="http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/Java/e.js?room=$chatRoomName&roomstab=$chatRoomsTab&width=$chatWidth&height=$chatHeight&nick=$chatName&keypass=$chatPassword¶mfilename=$chatLanguage"></script></center></td>
 </tr>
</table>
<form>
    <input type=button value="Float" onClick="document.cs.doFloat()">
</form>
</center>

EOT;
footer();
obExit();

}
?>
