Okay, I know what the answer is likely to be, wait until SMF is released and request a mod for that, but I'm after something for the here and now, and I'm sure it's probably not that difficult for you gurus out there to do.

What I want to do is if a member wishes to be notified of further posts to a topic, give them the option of E-mail or forum IM.

The site I run will integrate the forum login to the main page (using ssi.php - that wonderful little invention), so IM is going to feature quite heavily.

D'oh! Silly me, took too much Viagra again

(making things too hard, if you didn't get that one).

Looking at the code, I think I may just about be able to manage it myself.

In the meantime though, if anyone has a link to a ready made mod, I'd be mighty appreciative
