Changing post count awards depending on topic

Hi,

On my boards there are a lot of people who post an awful lot. I have a "general messages" area and would like to have some threads where post counts do not increase when a reply is added. I was thinking of possible ways of doing it... I was considering putting a abbreviation infront of the subject lines for topics where post counts would be off - and then in the post.php file it would search the subject line for these characters and if they exist not increase the count.

I would either lead the subject with PC: (post count) or prefereable I could put in some other symbol (for example ¬) and get the title parser to remove the symbol before printing it to html (ie users wouldn't see it).

Does this sound fairly possible?

you can make a board to have 0 post count, name it something like 'spam board', and move the topics that u consider spam or pointless topics there
or, set the General board to 0 post count
the setting is in Admin Center -> Edit Board

Yea I know... but about 85% of the topics on my board are spam topics (don't ask)

I just have a few threads that are like general discussion threads that I wanted to keep clean from spam. I guess I'll just live with life as it is
