New and no new post icons?

I created some here http://209.123.247.230/~thenewww/forums/index.php but they are hard to tell apart. Anyone have something similar or a suggestion?

I need to get something in there more obvious

If I was you, I think I'd make the off state darker...try to get them as near to that background cell color as you could...sorta brown/tannish...

Then, I'd make the on ones a clean, bright white...you could even add a tiny bit of white glow to it if you wanted and just make the gif bkgrnd the color of your cell (instead of transparent). The glow might be a bit much though...

I find those 2 icons very good, at least for people who are not color blind. The problem is the on/off icons having just different colors is not the most user friendly. The most user friendly is in my opinion to use the same "new" gif which also marks new threads in the thread overview inside forums, that would mean:

use either in gray:

and

or in red:

and
