Overload on the server

First of all I apologize if this kind of question has already been answered, but I haven't been able to find the answer.

As I pointed out in the topic, the matter is that my server has interrupted my web service twice because of the high demand on CPU and memory that my YaBBSE forum did recently. I'm VERY surprised because there is not much activity in my forum (between 20-40 new post a day and no more than 15 simultanious users)

I'd like to know if that's normal and how could I solve the situation, that's it, how could I reduce the demand on the server. Cannot remember the CPU speed of the server, but it used a 58% of all the server resources and 108 MB of RAM.

Any help will be EXTREMELY welcome.

PS: I've been using YaBBE 1.5.1 and, after the first shut down of the server, 1.5.2

Find out if you're running a CGI version of PHP. That will cause higher utilizations. If you're on a Windows Server, this is what you will more than likely be using.
