I have version 1.5.1 (I know, I know, upgrade). I actually need to be walked through this. I tried to do a search on this topic, but Search is not working, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed ad infinitum elsewhere and I just somehow missed it.
My board and my friend's board were hacked into three days ago. I banned the person responsible, and my site came back up (I know that's illogical, but that's how it appeared to me), but my friend's is still down. He's the one who held my hand every step of the way installing 1.5.1.
Now he's not available to fix his site (ie, install the upgrade and do whatever needs to be done to the db), and his co-administrators are asking ME for help (HAH!)
First, could you direct me to the threads where this was discussed, and second...is there anyone here who could hold my hand through this arduous and frightening ordeal? (
)
Oh...and if any administrator wants to know the particulars of the hacking incident, I'd be more than happy to share!
