I read have a slight prob with posting to the sight when you post this error comes up.

An Error Has Occurred!

Failure in submission of form. Session timeout.

I read in another one about temp directory and php.ini file.

WHere would i look for the temp directory as well as the php.ini file in the admin controls database or ftp? Also is there anything else I should look at as well?

Also on a side note the only way to post at all is by making a poll.
Thank you any help is greatly appreciated.

The person I am helping is using a reseller account, if it were possible for him to access php.ini and where to change sessions what would he need to do and or change to get things working properly?

Thank you

You should try to make sure all the settings that start with "session" are correct.

Guess who needs help?
* Douglas chuckles...

"Failure in submission of form. Session timeout." on trying to create a new post.  I've changed cookie names, made sure that it's creating said cookies.  php.ini is fine.  It's a brand new installation of 1.5.2, one mod (User Application mod by Spiffy Spaceman) that doesn't even touch the actual forums.  I'm able to get into the admin area and make changes, make changes to my profile, etc, just can't make new posts.

php 4.1.2
MySQL 3.23.54
Brand new server.

Any ideas?

Guys, come on, I could really use some help here.  This is the second request for help that I've posted in a row that's not been answered or even acknowledged.

I've seen this before.  Ussually it's a local problem that's solved by clearing your browser's cache.

IE 5.5 (with all updates)
Netscape 7.02
Mozilla 1.2a
Opera 6.05

All with cleaned caches.  I have created a test user but will not be able to publicly provide details.  Let me know who I should send this to for assistance, and I'll send you a PM.  :)

Edited to add in:  I do have a phpinfo.php uploaded, JUST in case.  ::chuckles::

And an update, it's happening to the web site owner, as well, so it's either a server or a forum config issue.  Any ideas?

How restricted is your access?  How often does this occur?  May I have a link?
