Running 1.5.1, and haven't used the board news (the one with the java fader, not the News.php file) since sometime around 1.4.

After I add news in the admin section, and go back to edit it, its gone. No news in the fader, or at the top of any pages.

Cannot find the field in the DB (if that is where it is) for the news (not that I have looked everywhere), or any .txt files on the server that look like they could be for the news.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure you check Enable News in Settings

It is, but it would still edit the news, even if it wasen't check, just not display it.

Try this:

INSERT INTO TABLE yabbse_settings
VALUES ('news', '');

You /sound/ like you don't have that...
