hey up till now, ive been using my own script to take news from the yabbse database, im now using the one provided with yabbse.

2 things,

1. the timeoffset is not applied!

2. there is no 'name' html tag around the title of each news item, with it's 'ID_MSG' as the value so headline scripts can not be used well.

ive changed News.php to fix these 2 things.

to include the name thing, you just need to insert
Code Select
<a name="' . $news_id . '"> before the title in news_template.php, and
Code Select
</a> after the news title,

and use the news.php ive modified.

please can someone reply to this saying if its ok for me to allow people ot download my news.php

Yuo can provide it as a mod - no problem.

Just make sure you've applied the security fix!

just download the bug fix/security package from the news board, and mod the news.php file in it.
