buttons on dark bg

Hello, I've been searching round here for ages but I can't seem to find a set of standard (or similar) buttons that are anti-aliased for a black/dark background. Surely someone must have done this?? Am I just looking in the wrong place?

If anyone knows of a set available, or a forum which uses them could you let me know.

Yes, I've seen Iridium's button generator etc. but I'd rather not take all that time out if someone's already done it.
Thanks

Did you look into the button sets thread:
http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?board=144;action=display;threadid=12660;start=15

For example Peter Duggans buttons for grey theme boards would probably do well on black bg, becuase those have a black border.

yeah thats a nice set, I've seen it. Unfortunately, although the buttons have grey borders they are anit-aliased to go onto a light coloured background - I downloaded them and tried them on a black html page and you get the same nasty white fuzziness around the edges so they look like they've been cut out of a magazine...

Looks like I may have to use that set or the original and go through and fix it meself.

If I do that I'll try and remember to post them here or at least a link to my forum.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that buttons sometimes appear on different backgrounds, it's rather hard to make a "universal" dark button set. (For example, the small Modify, Delete and Quote buttons, which appear at the top of each post must look good on both the "windowbg" and "windowbg2" colors (as the posts alternate in color). What may work well for one person's dark color scheme could look awful on yours.

Most people seem to have tried to overcome this by simply not antialiasing their buttons. Personally I think that's ugly, which is why I wrote my button generator, but, although the buttons it produces work well, there are a number of caveats, which you may already have seen (or, if not, are in my first post on that thread)

I made a set of buttons and optimized them with a black matte.  Unfortunately, they are far from the standard - they are trapezoidal shaped and drab olive green.

This sample is actually on a dk green matte, but I do also have an entire black set.

Iridium, I see what you mean, I suppose that explains the lack of one standard dark bg set. With my forum, all the cells are close enough in colour - all very dark greys -  that one dark grey/black treatment would do it. But I haven't got time to do it at the moment.

I've actually used another one of yours, Greg, the khaki set, which will do me just fine for the forseeable future.

Thanks to all of you for the help.
