Im wondering if there is a point system mod for the forum along with a bank mod, store mod and lottery mod, to spend points on, like in phpbb.

I'd mentioned this mod before.

You'd probably be better having a look at coding just a basic points mod without banks etc and add them on later.  I'd code it myself, except my knowledge of php is by far to basic.

1 column in members, 1 column in boards, a bunch of rows in settings and I think you have yourself the db. No extra tables AFAIK. It would be a fun mod :)

It was the best mod I had on my php board, although the shop mod was a little dodgy.  The points worked really well as it encouraged people to start threads too.  Also you could give points away.

I was bored in Government class today, so I worked out a lot of how to do this mod.

Currently, my plans include:
- people get points when they post.  (amount defined in settings...)
- weekly payments can be assigned for membergroups, with optional PM. (ie. moderators get 30 a week... or whatever.)
- the bank can have any rate of interest you want, daily or weekly.

After all of that is done.... then I can do the itemshop.

However, I won't do any of this until my secret project is done.

if you would like, I can post a link to the attachment and u can copy the code from there, and convert it to phpbb :)  I have the bank, shop, points, and lottery mods for phpbb. the code looks like it can work with yabbse, if there was somone to find out where to put each line of code.

The points thing lets u have ability to earn # points for making a topic and # points for replys. and i dunno but can have # for login in or visiting the board.

# = 10 - 5 - 15   like that or whatever you want them to be, settings in the admin panel.

hundreds of ppl dled this mod for phpbb.   im sure this would be a great and fun addition to yabbse.

If you can make yabbse as good or better with same or simuler mods. it can be a well used forum.

Do you still have the phpbb board running so we could see an example of how it works?
