Please Help 1.51

I upgraded my 1.5 to 1.51 because niether global moderator or administrator could delete a topic.
Now that the upgrade was "successful" no one who is regsitered on the board can do anything because you can't log-in... no matter when or where you login you go to the normal board but when you try and do something (going to another page) the buttons on top and everything are not logged in (so it sez login or regsiter and the process repeats.)

PLEASE HELP, I see severla similar post oin sourceforge but my users are pissed and can't wait

Your cookiename is set to ''.

Download Settings.php from your server, and open it with a text editor. (ie. notepad.)

Change the line that starts with:
$cookiename = "";

To:
$cookiename = "ultYuGiOhForum151";
(or anything you want, just only letters and numbers!)

And then upload it back to the server.

but it didn't work... here is what my settings look like

u can delete those 2 lines and replace with the one Unknown said

Awesome, so now i am back to where I started...

I am an admin or global moderator.. if i want delete a topic or post I get an error saying Im not an modertor and it logs me out (my icons for admin and calender disappear and i need to log in before i make a post etc.) .

Delete your old cookies and login again, I successfully was able to delete a post after doing just that.

You are using a mod for your instant messaging.

1.5.1's IM's work fine.

so if i installed 1.51 over my supermod board would it fix everything you think?>

So i DELTED the entire board and database and rebuilt from scratch with the latest RC, I am having the "delete messages" problem again, the cookie thing didn't need fixed again (appearently that is how it is in the new release) and i dleted my entire cache and cookies and rebooted, ANY clue to why i can no t dlete messages or threads again?

All I can recommend is for you to try deleting your cookies again....

I'm not sure why it popped up again.

Maybe you could try changing what the cookiename is set to....

eheh tried that too... think this is a big dependant on system config?
