SP1.2 to SE1.51.. great stuff, mod request

I just upgraded my board from YaBB SP1.2 to YaBBSE1.51. I really like the speed gain and the ease of conversion. Some problems though.

1. I used the converted for SP1.2 to SE1.51. I already created an admin account with YaBBSE and the converter also imported my old SP1.2 admin account into the database. This gave rise to 2 admin accounts. I had to manually drop the record for the SE1.51-created admin account.

2. When I try to optimize tables from the admin panel, I get this error.

admin : 203.117.115.42 : Today at 08:17:35pm
/YaBBSE/index.php?action=optimizetables
2: mysql_query() [<a href='http://www.php.net/function.mysql-query'>function.mysql-query</a>]: Unable to save result set <br />(/home/meuser/public_html/YaBBSE/Sources/Admin.php ln 1744)

Now for some mod talk.

I don't quite like the way SE1.51 displays the total member list, with separate columns for YIM, WWW, etc. Is there any way to display it like SP1.2 with the full name of each member's web site displayed?

In addition, previously I used an SSI on my main non-board HTML page to display who was currently online and browsing the forums. Does YaBBSE have any code that I can include in my main page to display the same thing?

Is there also any code I can use to display the 10 most recent posts on my main page?

SSI.php and News.php ::)

There was an option in the installer for YaBBSE to skip the admin creation step, they added that step for those who already have an admin account from a YaBB board.

As for the error, you will have to wait till somebody can help you out on that since I havn't tried out the optimize table thing in YaBBSE before.

Same goes for the mod, wait for somebody to help you out.

They are included with YaBBSE, they should be in the directory with Settings.php and index.php. ::)

Your server may be low on memory.  Try again later.

It used to display it like SP 1.2, but there were complaints about the width.  You can safely download build 44's Memberlist.php and upload it to Sources.

Another problem with 1.51RC1.
Previously on my YaBBSP1.2 board one of my users had this as their display name: Fa||en

Now YaBBSE displays this as _Fa||eN_. Is there any way to correct this?

I was wondering if it was possible to do the following.

After posting a message in a thread, the board will return the poster to the board thread list. Instead of this, can we return the poster to the very same thread so they see if their message appeared alright?

In addition, for the memberlist page, is there any way to display a bar graph of the number of posts each member has made next to their names, the way YaBBSP1 does it? My users seem to miss this feature.

Another thing regards the quick jump to forum dropdown list box. Is there any way to make an instant jump to a particular board without the need to press the 'GO' button?

And regarding the buttons to post, reply, and modify, is there any way to change them to text links instead of GIF files to make loading even faster?

Yes...yes...yes... I think it's all yes.

Have you taken a brief look at the admin panel?

fa||en changed his display name.  Go ahead and change it back.  (no, YaBB SE has no reason to add underscores to it.)

Enable the back to post mod in installed 'Mods'.

You want it next to their names instead of on the far right?  Have you looked at it?

This is done - jumpto automatically jumps if the javascript for it is enabled.

Look in Forum Preferences and Settings, and change the menu type to text.

Thanks. I'm so used to the YaBB1 way that I didn't know there were so many new options!

I have just tried the SSI functions. In my main htmlfile, index.php, I placed this in the first line.

<?php require("home/cmwong/public_html/YaBBSE/SSI.php"); ?>

Now when I access the page via http, I get this error.

Warning: main(./Settings.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 49

Warning: main() [function.main]: Failed opening './Settings.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 49

Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 52

Warning: main(/Errors.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 54

Warning: main() [function.main]: Failed opening '/Errors.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 54

Warning: main(/Subs.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 55

Warning: main() [function.main]: Failed opening '/Subs.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 55

Warning: main(/Load.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 56

Warning: main() [function.main]: Failed opening '/Load.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 56

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: clicklog() in /home/cmwong/public_html/SSI.php on line 59

The files do exist. I can run the SSI_examples.php from within the YaBBSE directory, but when I include the first line in any other html file in any other directory, I get the above errors.

I think the problem is because files like Setttings.php only exist in my YaBBSE directory and not in the root. Is there any way to redirect accesses to these files to the correct directory?

I have been told to use the SE1.4 version of the php file called with this function to display the memberlist the old way.

Where can I find this file alone?

I would recommend using the 1.5.1 version from build 43.  You can find it here:
