Error in BoardIndex.php

I am having an error when i create a sub forum. It's very annoying, because whitout any subforums ppl are not be able to post. The error louds:

An error has ocurred!

2: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource
(/data/members/free/tripod/nl/g/o/o/goofforum/htdocs/yabbse/Sources/BoardIndex.php ln 176

Does any one have an idea what I have to change in Boardindex? I am using 1.4.0 on Tripod Lycos. After installation I builded in the Lycos Mod.

Forgive me my bad English, please  ;D

tripod and lycos server does have some restrictions
i havent installed the sub forum mod, so i cant really tell whats causing it...
btw, why not upgrade to 1.5.1?
i dont know if the sub forum mod is available for 1.5.1 or not though
