10 Recent Posts Color Trouble

I've been working on a black and white template to coordinate with my website and logo.  I thought I was getting close until I saw the the 10 Recent Posts page:  the thread link doesn't show up on the black background from the titlebg style.  (I was using a black link, but my secondary choices are all dark too.)  Is there any fairly simple way to fix the link for THIS page only?

Did you solve the problem? Because I don't see anything wrong there    And something else: it's better not to use bold in A:hover... It's a little bit annoying...

The colors for the 10 recent posts are taken from the Settings.php color codes.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't fixed this although I have been playing around with different colors, because I'm afraid my problem can't be easily fixed.    

The problem is the  thread link only part of the text on the black background.  I can set the rest of the text white, but the black link (or dark gray as a 2nd choice) works well for links everywhere else, just not when there is a link against the black titlebg.

Interesting and hopeful:  the results from a search nicely display a white link against the black background ....  vs. the "10 Recent Posts" which seems to pick up the link color from the link style.  

I'm going to continue investigating -- figure out where/how the search results is doing what I want the 10 Recent Posts to do.  I'm new to ALL of this so help is appreciated.

So I changed Recent to

Result:  I now have the white link that I wanted against the black background!!!!

(I can't believe I fixed this!   )

Now on to more customization.
