My sincerest thanks to [Unknown]

I had a LOT of trouble trying to get YaBB SE to work. I guess I started trying to get it to work around 8:30 my time, and then [Unknown] came in to help at around 9:30. Him and I struggled with just about everything there is to struggle with, and were met with a lot of failure. Through it all, [Unknown] also had to withstand my really bad sense of humor (I know i'm not funny, but I try anyhow).

It is now 1:30 AM. And it was just 5 minutes ago that i got the forum to work, and work properly.

[Unknown], you have been a GREAT helper and teacher, and I really want to thank you for doing this, and staying with me. There were a few times that I thought you might just say "screw it" and leave me on my own, at which point I probably would have given up. But, you stayed with it, and we eventually beat the problem.

If any of [Unknown]'s superiors are reading this....well...He made me a very happy guy tonight, and whatever congratulations that there can be for him, I think he deserves.

Trios.

What? [Unknown] *has* superiors? :o

Seriously, though, I think your comments reflect just what an asset he is to the team. So let's instigate a Nobel prize for YaBB SE effort and nominate him. He deserves it! :)

I figured there had to be some sort of hierarchy here, and didn't think that he would be at the top of it. :P

But yes, lets do something for him!

You guys got it all wrong! He's on the YSE dev team--that means he's supposed to do stuff for us!  ;D

In all seriousness, though, he is quite helpful and a great addition to the team. ;)

I'd be a bit cagey about singling out any member of the team for special praise if it weren't for Jeff's ever-so-cute Status Updates. But here we have it, straight from the horse's (?!) mouth:

January 21
[Unknown] 'worked hard' when everyone else just 'worked' (except for the Beta Testers, who 'did an amazing job').

January 14
[Unknown] 'worked hard' when everyone else just 'worked'.

So I'm paraphrasing rather than quoting (it was me, not Jeff, who said 'just'), but we have to go back to 7 January to find someone else (Compuart) who 'worked hard' as opposed to just 'worked' (so clearly deserved his skiing holiday)...

Now, before I find myself pleading my case (not for the first time!) at the gates of YaBB Hell, I'd just like to add that most of this post should be taken with a pinch of salt because I truly believe the whole team to be doing a great job! 8)

Heh clever Peter ;) I do in fact make those notes when guys were extra hard like Unknown and Compuart had.

Although I do hear it later if I miss someone  ::) I do it to provide a bit of a status, not to babysit everyone and hunt down everything they did ;)
