QuoteFunny thing is that other users can login.

your cookie setting is too high.

in your web browser (asuming u have IE6) - go to tools > internet options > privacy, and make the bar go to medium, then click apply, and then ok ... close your browser, then try to login again after reopening :)

Still, after upgrade to Build 41 the same error, when posting attachments:

Quote
2: chmod() [function.chmod]: Stale NFS file handle
(/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/XXX/XX/yabbbeta/Sources/Post.php ln 888)
:-[

The rest seems okay.

I normally use Mozilla, but when I use IE with cookie-setting to medium it gives the same problem.

In the normal index.php-screen when I click on the login-button I get an empty screen with the message that something has gone wrong and I can't find a way to correct it.

I just checked with another computer and get the same problem. Logging in to www.yabbse.org iwent OK so I suppose the problem is not the cookies? Is it possible my firewall is blocking something that is needed?

I tested to login via a dialup-link from another computer and that works. So I could log in and check the logfile.

When I login from my normal computer I get the following messages:

Guest: unknown : vandaag om 15:54:14
/yabbse/index.php?board=;action=login
: Column "identity" cannot be null
: /vol/www/gg/testbank/web-docs/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php
: 1048

Guest: unknown : vandaag om 15:54:14
/yabbse/index.php?board=;action=login

Maybe that's enough to help me get going?

Hi everybody,

First of all: thanx for providing such a great board to the open source community. I tried several boards, but this one is by far the best.

However, I found some minor bugs using release 1.5.1_41:
-auto resizing of large images in messages doesn't seem to work anymore.
-when a message is split and moved to another board the totals are not correctly updated.

Hope you can fix this in some future release.

Greetz,

i havnt really looked that hard at yabbse code, but im just guessing identity means ip, and maybe your firewall is blocking ure ip?

see if u can login with ure firewall down...

I have a linux-box that controls traffic from/to my intranet. Funny thing is that with the box I used to dialin and was able to login, I now can login also. So I think of a cookie that is wrong built. If the cookie is useable all works...

Find this line:
chmod ("$modSettings[attachmentUploadDir]/$destName",0644) || $chmod_failed = 1;

And change it to:
@chmod ("$modSettings[attachmentUploadDir]/$destName", 0644);

digibike, it seems that your router isn't giving the IP to the site.  This is a small mistake on my part :$.

Find this:
function WriteLog()
{
   global $REMOTE_ADDR, $username, $db_prefix, $ID_MEMBER;

   $logTime = time();

   if ($ID_MEMBER == -1)
   {

And then add after it:
      if (empty($REMOTE_ADDR))
         $REMOTE_ADDR = '255.255.255.255';

Not sure about the mail problem....

Thanks!

I still get the error sporadically, but it works better - most of the time now - than before!
Thanks very much!

I added the part in Subs.php but it doesn't work.  Just to be sure, the quotes with 255... are the one's on the right side of the keyboard (') or on  the topleft side of the keyboard(`) ? I used the ' on the right side. Otherwise no luck
