Blending YaBBSE in with my site...

Hey, I am a brand new user with YaBBSE, and I have no idea about how I would blend in YaBBSE with my web site, seemlessly (sorry about the spelling I'm in a hurry!). I want the colors, and the images, as well as my site navigation links to be on the Board.

How do I do all this without using frames, iframes or whatever I have had to use in the past? And if it needs to be coded, would someone be able to blend YaBBSE in if I gave them a template of my site?

In the newer YaBB SE versions it should not be necessary any longer to use that technique because you can embed any php commands into the forum template.
