It would be great, if someone could do a mod for this.

A , when I click on, i have only to put in the edk Link.

So a User could start a download, without to copy& paste the Link into the adress field from the Browser.

Many from my Boardusers mix her trance itself, and it is easyer to share bigger files in such sharingtools

thx a lot,

A good idea.
Maybe it could be possible without an additional icon?

Isn't it possible to replace the current HTTP and FTP YabbC Tag Command with ONE toolbartag ,,Link"

This command would just convert everthing what is in there into a normal link. So edonkey and also future Gnutella Links could be used.

If you do this, you minus well add an IRC button.

And, IRC links are like this: (I say only because it is known by few)
irc://irc.server.net/channel

Are you wanting to be able to put an image in a post that links to a download?

Ahh, I'm guessing you're asking for a specific feature available through Edonkey/whatever, and I don't know anything about that software. Sorry.

Her is what Yabb do with it:

http://ed2k://|file|SimCity4.CD1.DEViANCE.ShareReactor.bin|596316672|e0ca7c8527a12d4bbb8612fb16620fce|/

Here is an http:// bevore, all Sharingtools doesnt accept this.

I doesnt think its a good sample  ::), anyway...

Jep, a YaBBC Button for such File would be great. Or a posibillity do disable the http:// bevore.. But a own Button would be great  :D

Ah, of course. YaBB SE automatically assumes the "http://" if that or "ftp://" (not sure of any others) is not included. So why not just have a mod that turns off the auto-prefixing (the code that adds the http://)? That would be incredibly simple. Then you could just do what TheJkWhoSaysNi said:

Click here
And it should work every time, so long as your computer knows what to do with ed2k URLs.

I've been trying to see about this, YaBB adds http:// to every url making it so that it's not irc:// or ed2k:// any more but http://irc:// or http://ed2k://, so I was thinking you could just make new code like [ext=ed2k://address] something [/ext] but I keep getting timed out by adding extra code ???

I can be done but not clean :)

I could be mistaken, but I believe you folks missed the important part of what I said:

turning off the auto prefixing mod is not a very simple thing its easier to add some script to the auto prefix this to define then the same way that its able to define https:// and http:// ftp:// is something seperate again

well ill show you guys how I did it in 2 mins yes thats right 2 mins, there is now support for irc:// ed2k:// ftp:// and https:// all under the url= so for FTP you don't have to click on the FTP button

in Subs.php find

function fixTags($message)
go down to // Now for the urls

see
if (!stristr($replace, 'https://'))
$replace = stristr($replace, 'http://');
else
$replace = "https://$replace";

Now all you do to add more is change the if (!stristr
to if (stristr
you remove the !
now for more you just go

if (stristr($replace, 'https://'))
$replace = "https://$replace";

// New One
elseif (stristr($replace, 'ed2k://'))
$replace = "ed2k://$replace";

// Add more elseif statements before the else

else
$replace = stristr($replace, 'http://');

Now the differences are it use to be if (!stristr
Now is if (stristr
so that if its true it will do whats below it
and the $replace = stristr($replace, 'http://');
has been put at the bottom in an else as it use to be if they are false do this else do the next part.
So now if it equalls true it now does what use to be the next part

and if all = false itll do the final part the $replace = stristr($replace, 'http://'); in the else.
In other words each elseif must get false to the if (stristr
to load the http:// instead

Ok now this has to be done to all of them, there will be another 2 identical to the first one u just edited (i just copied and pasted)

If you want to see it working go to
Watch it Work

Ill have the package up in a little bit
