Before you could specify the actual thread IDs which you wanted to merge, from what I'm aware in 1.5.0 it had a new interface to merge threads?

It crashed your browser? How exactly does something like that crash your browser?
I can see it timing out if you have a low execution time set for php.ini but not crashing your browser...

Ah ok then! :D

If you are able to try increasing the execution time. I just looked and there are a lot of queries going on when you run it. Or even better try optimizing the code. :)

Yep, its the interface that causes trouble, it displays every thread as a clickable link so you dont have to type the thread id in, a nice idea, but would be good if it was split over pages of say 100 threads rather than displaying em all in one go.

Execution time isnt a problem, it processes it, just gives my poor browser a nightmare - probably the server too as it has to get them all  ;D, will probably just hack the interface out when I upgrade

Sorry for coming in to this late, but I was wondering what the Merge feature actually did?

I've not tried it yet in case it messes the system up...likewise, what does split do?

I've checked the help that came with YaBBSE but found nothing.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Richard.

you should make a test board in your forum and play around with the features
split: separates a topic into 2
merge: joins 2 topics into 1
