Template editor

This may or may not be a dumb/stupid question to some of you.  But here it goes.  

When you edit the template in the admin area. Exactly
what files are altered?  I'm thing template.php is obvious.

But are there any others?

Only template.php is altered by that function.

But there are also color settings in the Settings.php, do not forget to set those to the same color values.

I was wondering about files in the /Sources directory.

Nothing in /Sources directory should be modified.
