Mozilla mouseover problem

Sorry if my screenshot of this doesn't show up but my site - dammit it's never down - has been down for a short time this morning and could be down again:

Just upgraded from Mozilla 1.0.1 to 1.2.1, and the mouseovers for YaBB SE Community | General Category | Feedback | Start new topic (or whatever) are wonky! The whole menu and the pipes between the items now get underlined in red as well as the 'hover' link, although the correct link still takes you where you want to go. Everything's still normal in IE, but I thought you should know!

No, it's not, it's jiggered again (but still normal in IE)!

Having checked the page source, I think I can tell you what's causing it, because I had a similar problem on my site:

If you have internal anchors done in the old style (eg ), Mozilla (quite sensibly IMHO) takes whatever it finds marked as an anchor to be a hyperlink for purposes of a:hover. The only solution I know is to replace that method with
,
or whatever, in which case the internal anchor no longer works with Version 4 browsers. But that's what I've done on my site because the Mozilla approach seems logical enough when you think about it and the future doesn't lie with Netscape 4 et al!

I've seen Opera 7 do the same thing.

In fact.... WEIRD - if you just say :hover {color: red;}, it will make EVERYTHING (not just links) red when you hover.

I think it's in an attempt to be more CSS compliant.
