*Ahem*... moving on to the heart of the topic: I definitely feel that YaBB SE needs a much more robust permissions system.

I suppose a mod would do, but personally I would rather wait until a future version can be built with that in mind from the ground up. Not talking about a rewrite of the board, I just mean that I think to do a proper job would require so many changes it should be a project that should be a collaboration with the Devs for a future version. Thats kind of what I'm aiming to achieve with my biggest YaBB SE project.

(A dev collaboration, not a permissions systen.)

With the MOD you were able to configure different ways to access boards:
- password protected
- only members
- only a select group of users

If you want this itll take a while so youve got to be patient ...

What is the stand of the developement  

I need such a mod, i hope you will make it.

It would be nice, if the mod also can handle posting pendent Boards. So that a user if he get his xx Post, see some more Kategories.

Interesting, even though you have been advised that this mod has already been written by someone else you still persist in taking it on cause you think it is crappy codeing.

I'm sure that many of us will wait patiently to see a sample of your coding skills.

nope sorry im ditching my mod list and the mods I started due to my current workload. They will not be deleted but someone else may pick up the slack and finish them off before I have time to get back to them.

search fo it theres one out by Sauron for 1.4.1 it shudn't be that hard to adapt but I don't want to adapt their one as thats just sad ask sauron to convert his as this is a huge mod

if anyone is offended if someone says they have crappy code as loosely as this person has stated, they need to build some serious brick walls. welcome to real life, not everyone will love your 'crap.' some critism is a dime a dozen but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you are entitled in how you percieve that opinion. being an artist, poet and musician, i know you can't take things personally.

I mean its just sad that if im going to claim the credit for the 1.5 mod I should atleast have made it from scratch I think their script is wicked as its a dam hard mod but I don't want to modify their script as it is THEIR OWN.

FYI, you're throwing petrol at a fire that's long since been put out through mutual consent, but I'm sure you could start another one quite easily if you wanted with a few more posts like that.

My purpose wasn't to start a fight. I just thought it was a little ridiculous at the beginning of this conversation (btw, I did read everything), and therefore I said so, even though, it's more of a general statement that could be applied to more than the beginning of this thread. Just a thought.

Commence. I don't want to post anything else on this matter to distract this thread from it's orignal purpose. It has done that enough already.
