Now who thinks i should build this mod for 1.5 ill do a fresh start from what the original author did as it was sorta crappy. Heres what it did.

With the MOD you were able to configure different ways to access boards:
- password protected
- only members
- only a select group of users
and your also able to say whether you want the boards that you put the stuff above on will be displayed on the boards index.

If you want this itll take a while so youve got to be patient I also believe that this will totally screw up pretty much any other mod you might have, a bunch of columns will need to be inserted also into certain tables.
This will definently screw with a bunch of other mods.

ok weve got the you need a password to access this area going but thats it, its going to be one big as install when im done

Perhaps it'd be better if you just tried to build it into your rival bulletin board!

I thought this dudes script was great but the thing is its been abandoned and is stuck in the dark ages of 1.3

So I took the liberty of making my OWN mod not based on his original mod but does the same stuff and got the same name.

Now, while I've no personal interest in this mod and no idea who the original author is, if I was him or her I'd be thoroughly pissed off at you for that...

So you just don't get it, do you? It doesn't matter whether it's a fresh start (*your* mod) or not, you still called someone else's code 'crappy'! But perhaps I shouldn't expect you to notice what's tactless about that...

Ok i know what you mean but the thing is you said you started fresh, the mod has not been updated since 1.3 it sounded good and in built is alot of mods other people have been asking for so i thoght that I would make it to solve a number of peoples problems without making lots of mods and them having to get multiple ones.

Anyway I don't seem to see what your problem is i haven't seen any posts from you in the Mod Ideas Thread much, so shut up please im doing what people ask OK

lol i know I did im doing my best hey if the guy had made an update for 1.4.1 i would of just asked him to put out the new one but het had abandoned it and Peter was giving me hass

Flooding this forum with posts doesn't make you God any more than posting comparitively little to it makes me nobody. Nor does your obvious enthusiasm for what you're doing make describing others' work as 'crappy' or telling them to 'shut up' any more acceptable. But I can't be bothered to argue with you any more, so I'm just going to leave it at that...

oh my god your the worlds most frustrating person i did not say it was crappy at no point did I say i was going to be using the original one at all and the comment I made about it screwing up alot of mods is a comment i was making on the one im producing on certain pages it might stuff some mods.
I told you to shut up as in don't stop hassling what im trying to do here the mod was wanted the original person had abandoned it so Im rewriting it from scratch.

Im sorry if I offended you but still please stop hassling what im doing ok, I don't see you producing any mods for people in here who have ideas
