Delete old thread mod needed

current delete old thread function only allow deleting of all old thread base on specifying the date. My board contain some FAQ so if i delete base on date, all my FAQ will be wipe out.

I hope to have a  delete old thread mod that allows admin to select which category they want to delete as similar to the check box selection in the search function, then specified the date to delete the thread on that category.

Check out my Don't Del Old Stickies mod.  It might work for you, if you just sticky all the faqs. (and it works in 1.5 and 1.4.1)

i would prefer a mod that allow me to choose the category that i want to delete. Some category like General and sports can be deleted every month, others like infomation, faq and important discussion may need to keep for 6 months to 1 yrs.

It lets you pick what boards to remove from, pretty simple.  Just get to the confirmation page from the admin page and you'll see it.  Warning: it's not compatible with my don't del old stickies mod.

has you tested out this function ?. Cos i test it with selecting 1 board to delete from and instead of deleting 2 old thread, it deleted 2 thousand over thread from all my board   but i can't locate where it delete from ?. But the deletion did not complete its process due to time out.

Can you create it with a confirmation button to let user confirm the deletion before the actual deletion take place. Thks.

Open up RemoveOldThreads.php and search and replace:

Is there anyway to add it a confirmation and cancel button before the actual deletion ?
