Tighter joining up procedures mod

Hi i need a mod where i have to validate members before they join my board. One operative like IBF board has. We have been getting troublemakers to our board and i need to tighten security. I want their validation to be sent to me and then i can approave. Is this possible. The other mod's you have like this just do not seem to be working...please assist if you can so do..thank you

This thread - http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?board=158;action=display;threadid=13988 - although reports of problems, works quite well and will meet your requirements.  Guests will still be able to read posts but will not be able to post.  New members will not be able to post until you approve them.

yeh, but if you're a lazy admin ;) you may not get around to approving members, while the authentication way protects your forum from floods and lets people register.  Also, you can't get flood requests for user status then either! :)
