Thread linked to two boards

I have a fairly quick moving board and never prune, theres some threads that I'd like to be able to keep near the top, but making them sticky takes up half the board :(

What I'd love to be able to do is have it so that a thread appears in two boards at the same time, in the general board and in the board that will be less read and have less traffic so the thread stays fairly near the top.

Any takers, dont know if I explained too well...

I think its phpBB that does this but when you move threads the link will take you directly to where the thread was moved to instead of making you read the post for the link like YaBB does. I'm guessing you would want something similar? The link in the other board takes you directly to the thread in the other board?

yeah something like that, but not in a moved kind of way ;) Want it so replies made from either board move the thread to the top of both.

Ah... hmm ya that is going to be really hard to do based on the current setup. You might be able to do it by making ID_TOPIC not a primary key so you could have dual topic ID's. That way you could have two topic ID's but with different ID_BOARD entries. But removing a primary key probably isn't a good thing for both performance and data consistency.
