Here it is. Final version of Avatar Upload, a little mod which enables custom user avatars. To be precise, users can upload their own avatars

Installation:

1) Upload avatardbmod.php to the same directory that contains Settings.php.

2) Run the file avatardbmod.php from your browser to add settings database.

3) Delete avatardbmod.php from your server.

3 b) Create directory for users avatars via FTP or shell (default dir is $facesdir - yabbse/ YaBBImages/ avatars)

4) Install the mod using either boardmod or by following the instructions in the file by hand.

In "Installed 'Mods' Settings and Options" you have following options:
Max size of users avatar in KB (default 20 KB)
Max height of avatar (default 100 pixels)
Max width of avatar (default 100 pixels)
Avatar Path ($facesdir - yabbse/ YaBBImages/ avatars)
Avatar URL ($facesurl - yabbse/YaBBImages/avatars/)

Avatar Upload - download

On trying to upload I get...

2: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory
(/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/community/Sources/Profile.php ln 470)

470 in Profile is $avatar_image_info = getimagesize($_FILES['userpicupload']['tmp_name']);

Why do you laugh?  open_basdir restriction is normally from when safe mode is on.

Actually I had this problem with Gallery mod. It was related to the $temp Directory as you said.

HERE is the core file that solved the problem.

Hope it helps
