Well, sort of. I was just thinking of how awesome it would be if we could use our IM box as an e-mail as well. Since all of us who have an SE board are isntalled on a MYSQL database, we should find someway to have that work. For example, my website with my forums is
www.eefactor.comNow, let's say, with every registered member, with the option 'on' from the administrator, it would automatically create "
[email protected]". So, while people are on the forums, they can also e-mail to other e-mail clients like hotmail and AOL. I don't know if this is a task for modders, or more for the actual Yabb SE team developing version 2. That would provide more interaction on the forums, etc.
Also, as users move up in postings and ranks, etc. have it customizable to allow them allotted space. Like, let's say, anyone with the "admin" or "mod" powers, give them 10 megs of space. Anyone with a "newb" name give them 1 meg of space in their e-mail/IM box.
I think this would be a perfect addition to those of whom have quite a large site, have the resources (the disk space and bandwidth) and would make YABB SE that much greater of a product. So if any developers, modders, etc. can see about doing anything with this idea, I would be much obliged. And please keep me updated on the updates...
