I've been off line a couple of days due to a hard drive mbr problem.  I replaced the drive and back online.

The main reason for this note is the improvement of the YaBB SE site.  It was a dog on Sourceforge mainly due to their traffic rate.  The pages load much quicker.  I am happier with the responce times of the server.

Just thought I'd let you know.

Keep up the great work Jeff and Company!

I just happened to say "Yes lets move it."  ;D

Mephidman and Compuart made the move over and even Chris at Rochenhost helped configure things while I was watching Harry Potter with my son last night :)

Yes, I haven't got around to this yet but:

Thankyou - that move went extremely smoothly. We didn't loose any posts and everything appears to be working (and faster too).

btw: what's happening with the domain?

I'm not a coder.  But I wish I could contribute to the cause.  I run 3 YaBB boards.

www.yabb.info is working, it's just forwarding it to the wrong address. It's not putting a / before community, so you get a 404.

It's probably just taking time for the Internic and DNS servers to play catch up.

Seems to have a problem with image display, for me all the board images are broken except for the sourceforge image.
I have looked at the image properties and they seem correct but these are the tests I did, using MSIE 6.

Entered URL - http://yabbse.mirror.rochenhost.com/community/YaBBImages/home.gif
Error Reported -
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /community/YaBBImages/home.gif on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Entered url - http://yabbse.mirror.rochenhost.com/community/yabbimages

Error Reported -
Not Found
The requested URL /community/yabbimages was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

From the tests I made I have to conclude that the images do not display because the directory is either not there or it is CHMOD'd wrong.......or I'm just a newbie that doesn't have a clue.

cheers........

Hmmmm.....yabbimages should be YaBBImages, file and folder names on UNIX are case-sensitive.

Don't understand this....

I just checked all the chown and chmod settings and all are fine. Also that URL John posted above works fine for me.

Strange...

I actually saw the same thing as well but it was sporadic at best. I haven't seen it for a bit now though...
