No you are incorrect, the code is the way it should be don't change it.

I don't know if it works or not for 1.5.4... I havn't actually tested it. If you can't find the place that you are supposed to be inserting it into... either it changed in 1.5.4 or you installed a mod that changed it.

works fine, you have to edit some steps manually though, cant remember which ones they are though

I think its Steps 5 and 6... or atleast for me.... anyways I've never editted steps manually I've just used boardmod...

I had to install it manually because of some single errors in some files. But everything else went just fine.

I downloaded this mod and everything works perfectly except 1 thing:

I can't edit my template at the ModCenter anymore. I get this error:

I think renaming it to template.php will fix that. Don't quote me on that though

I have successfully installed in on 1.5.4. I have copied the template.php (.html) and a YaBBImages folder, but no matter what I do I cannot get any new templates to appear as an option. Permissions are correct on any new folders and templates.

Can you give me some insight into how the mod works? I do not understand why it keeps referring to a 0 directory. I have added it so that it works, but I do not see it in any of the mod steps. Also, why does it always default to read a directory only if it is named yabbse? I have changed it in the database, but if I change it to anything besides yabbse then the drop-down menu of available skins is empty.

Any suggestion?

Sorry, but no idea why it would be screwing up, as the topic name suggests, this mod was built for 1.5.1, so I can't guarantee that it works in 1.5.4, and I don't plan to update this mod any further because SMF has much better skins/themes than this mod does.

I don't distribute skins, but you can some templates and graphics here:

http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?board=144

Just copy the default skin and name it to your new skin, then replace the template and images in the new skin directory with the ones from that board and boom easy as 123 you have a new skin installed.
