PS - I dont speak a word of German - so if Im talkin nonsense please tell me :)

ok :)

first of all - remove this from your template.html

init.inc.php
include_once "../QueryString.php";
include_once "../Settings.php";
include_once "../german.lng";
include_once "../Sources/Subs.php";
include_once "../Sources/Errors.php";
include_once "../Sources/Load.php";
include_once "../Sources/Security.php";
include_once "./include/config.inc.php";
include_once "./include/functions.inc.php";

You need to put the full paths in your YaBB Admin Center.

I have a post in this thread which talks about it.

I am not sure if anyone can help me though :(

When I try to search for images using the automated feature in the gallery admin, I get this error message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_connect() in /home/fertilit/public_html/mainboard/gallery/searchnew.php on line 42

Anybody have any ideas? Everything else works fine :(

Let me ask: Can this mod limit access to specific member groups of the forum? I mean I would like to create a special group and only the members assigned to this group to be able to upload photos. Is it possible?

You can disable users and guests and enable global mods, but i think that's it...

So if you wanted your global mods to be the only ones with access, then yes.  If not, then i don't think so.

Quote from: Jacko on December 26, 2002, 07:13:01 AMtrying to get this working on v1.5.

all actions are now in an array in index.php

I think everything will work if I can figure out how to get the

else if ($action == 'gallery') { header("Location: gallery/"); }

into the array. Any ideas?

I'm tried to configure the gallery for 1.5.0 also...but I'm not that much into "programming" ...can't figure aout how to embed it into the arry....
somebody run this mod with 1.5.0 ?

*excuse may bad english* :-)

cheers

I have been playing around with trying to get this to work with 1.5 but no luck. You have to insert the array before this line:
'yabbinfo' => array("$sourcedir/Admin.php", 'showYaBBInfo'));That is all I know.

I tried using this for the array:
'gallery' => array("$boarddir/gallery/", 'gallery'),
But I get this error when I click on the gallery button:
2: Unable to access /gallery/
(/home/virtual/site461/fst/var/www/html/community/index.php ln 292)

There is something else that you have to insert into the index.php or in the array. I'm believing header has to be somewhere within the script...but maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully someone can figure this out. The only thing that is not working is linking the button to the actually gallery because if you go to http://www.yoursite.com/yabbse/gallery the gallery is there and is still working with the database.
I think I will ask for help to see if someone can tell me how to get this working and I'll post it here.

To get it to work in 1.5
I have got the button to point to the gallery without the array action. I guess as long as it works that is all that matters so don't bother adding anything into the index.php file.
Besides that everything else is the same except for Sources/Subs.php.
This is what you do:

Open Subs.php and find:
$cgi = "$scripturl?board=$board";add this after:
$galleryurl = "$boardurl/gallery/";
Next find:
global $mnum, $munred, $ID_MEMBER;add this after:
global $galleryurl;
Lastly find:
$yymenu = "<a href=\"$scripturl\">$img[home]</a>$menusep<a href=\"$helpfile\" target=\"_blank\">$img[help]</a>$menusep<a href=\"$cgi;action=search\">$img[search]</a>";add this after:
$yymenu .= "$menusep<a href=\"$galleryurl\">$img[gallery]</a>";
This takes you to the gallery. Nothing else really needed editing with this mod because it has it's on tables that are just linked to the yabbse tables.

If someone fixes this so that the array actions work that's cool. I just wanted to tell everyone how I got it to work if they were having problems. ;)

Thanks diva!
I've been racking my brain try to figure out that array problem.

I have another problem.  When I try to run the install.php for the gallery, nothing happens.

Ive tried re-downloading but I get the same problem.  What could it be, any suggestions?

Make sure everything is chmod right.
Also, are you using the gallery that was included in the zip with the mod. I know some people made the mistake of trying to use the gallery from the coppermine site. Chmod is usually the problem though.

diva_uno,

You seem to be a kind and helpful soul; I have been lurking for quite some time, but now I am forced to actually post a question(s). I managed to get the Photo Gallery to install just fine as a separate gallery. But this mod is driving me nuts! I REALLY-REALLY want it for my board members, but everytime I try to run BoardMod to install it, I get the following error message on step 3 in the index.php (yabbse 1.40):
Step 3 ... failed - ERR(1): Search string could not be foundThe search string in question:
else if ($action == 'yabbinfo') { include_once "$sourcedir/Admin.php"; showYaBBInfo(); }Therefore, I have no idea where to put this, even if I were to do it manually:
else if ($action == 'gallery') { header("Location: gallery/"); }Mind you, I'm no expert, but I'm not a complete goof either. But for the life of me, I'm stumped and frustrated and I REALLY-REALLY want this mod!

Please help me! Even a link back to the page where this was discussed (I have been going over the last 14 pages until my eyes burn).

Thanks in advance ...

In this case you do a manual install. If that is the only error you are receiving or even if there are more...I'll just tell you how to get that "else if" action into your index.php.
Just open index.php in "Notepad". After you open it go to Search>Find and either type in what you are trying to find...which is:
else if ($action == 'yabbinfo') { include_once "$sourcedir/Admin.php"; showYaBBInfo(); }Or do a keyword search such as:
showYaBBInfo.
When you find the string of code that resembles exactly the code above...just add:
else if ($action == 'gallery') { header("Location: gallery/"); }Right after it.
Sometimes boardmod doesn't work.

And thank you for what you said. I like to be helpful because I appreciate the help other people give me.
YabbSE is a great community.

Thanks so much. I'll keep looking for that bit of code. But I have been searching for 4 days now and haven't been able to find it :o  You confirmed what I thought I needed to do.

Meanwhile, 5 minutes later ...

Nope. It isn't there. I even opened up the original zip file with a fresh yabbse in it and looked for it in that index.php (just in case an earlier mod removed it). That line just isn't there either ...

I'm SO bummed :'(

Is there a way of adding that line in some where (where? I have no idea)?
