it allows password protection, hiding by member group, hide alltogether, all on individual boards or on individual categorys.

I have this carried from YaBB SP 1.1 without being able to find a way to apply it.

I know that we can restrict the access of certain categories to certain member group. What I'm looking for is something similar but on the Board level. I like to see a way by which I can permit certain members to access particular boards but not the other boards in the same category, and visa versa.

I've been told that such feature is not available in SE, and requires a Mod...

Does this Mod misfits fulfill my needs? I checked all available Mods here, but can't remember coming across the Mod you're talking about?

Does such Mod ever existed?

If not, would someone be interested in making one? I disparately need it.

My students need to make 7 reflections. I created a category with 7 boards, one for each. After the students post their Ref1 I need to lock that board so no more posts after the deadline, but I need other boards unlocked so they can continue their work. Currently, the only way I thought of is to hide the whole category, go to my database, make a backup copy of messages table then unhide the category, since I can only hide it for a short time. Need to keep on doing that with the rest--very annoying.

The other alternative is to create a category for each reflection, ie 7 cats instead of one! Not a practical approach IMHO.
