There's probably a way to code it so it determines whether or not Javascript is enabled...
To the best fo my knowledge, with php being a server side language, there is no way for it to know anything like that about the client.  I could be wrong but I am pretty sure.  If someone knows of a way, let be known.  BUt regardless, it is not wise to rely just on the JavaScript for that type of security things.

I tried this code on my 1.5.2 forum and it still allows a guest to view the profiles...am i missing something???

I just tried it on my 1.5.2 test board and it worked just fine.  Perhaps you are missing something. :-\
