creat a text variable in you language file; ex. $txt[750]='Blah'. Then go into profile.php, and put it where you want it.

Aside from creating the text variable, what is a generic insert for let's say adding a Label and a Box (for input) in the profile.php

For example, my board is military based, I would like members to be able to post their unit and company affiliation (4th US, Co. H) for example.  I was looking for something other than using the custom title field.

I could also phrase this question as: How can I add a 2nd custom title field?
