These fixes are now included by default in 1.5.x. I highly recommend you upgrade to the latest version.

If you are unable to upgrade at this time and are running either 1.5.0 or 1.4.x this mod will fix the cookie problems.

I will keep this as beta for a while just in case people have problems but so far it hasn't caused problems.

Thanks to mediman for part of the above code and starting me on the right path so to speak. :)

If you are using 1.3 let me know if the above code works as well. It should unless the cookie code has changed between versions.

yes!

IE6 doesnt allow cookies from 3th Party Webspaces, i doesnt think that you can code a workarround, maybe a working SessionID Mod can do that.

For all Users with free Redirector or Domains like *.tk, this Mod doesnt help really i think.

If you Login in such a board with IE6 (standardsettings), and klick on a link in the board, you are logged of and a guest. You have to set the security of the IE to low, or have allow manually the Domain, to save cookies. Not friendly for a user  :-[

Are you setting the cookies for the .tk site or for the actual real address of the site?

Although that is true with the default settings of IE 6.0, third-party cookies really shouldn't affect this. The only situation I can think of where IE 6 would cause problems is sites with frames, where the frameset URL is on a different domain than the actual forum...

the free tk domains link with Framesets and have no webspace, so you must load from a different domain :-[

Well, then avoid using the .tk addresses for the actual forum (use the real physical address there), and just use it for the rest of the web site then...

Yep as Daniel said you are going to have to find another way. This mod fixes the problem where users get logged out right away not the frames problem, if you can call it that.

Has anyone using 1.3 tried this yet? Or does that version not have the problem?

Did the code install without errors?

You should also make sure that the users have deleted their old cookies or you could try renaming the cookie.
