Auto Delete New Members

I was wondering if someone could make a hack where if a new user hasn't posted within a set amount of time since registering, the boards would automatically delete them.

I think it is not likely concidering there is a function built into Yabb that will do it in a few small steps.

Go to the Admin section of your board, then, click on "Inactive Members for at least XX days". Click on the 'View' button. The default for XX, is 30 days I believe. Click on it, and it will bring you to a screen, that shows people who have been inactive longer than XX(30) days.

Once you get in that place, it will show the person's shown public name (followed in quotes by their username), their Post Count represented by a number, and an unchecked checkbox. Check anyboxes on members you want to delete, and scroll to the bottom and click on 'Delete Selected Members'

Easy as that

I think Maverick means a mod that deletes members who have registered, but never have posted any messages since the day they became a member (or am I wrong?).

Not if you only check the boxes for those that have a "0" for the number of posts.

But I will admit that the view/delete members function could use a little work.  For starters, the columns for this could be labeled so you actually know what the number means.   Perhaps a "check all" feature.  A "check all with 0 posts" feature.  But it works as is so maybe someday.

As far as "automatically" doing it.  That would require some type of scheduling function.  It would likely need to have some type of human interaction to perform this task.

Beertje hit it right on the head as to what I meant. There should be some way of doing it automatically, even if I have to click one link that says "delete all members that have never posted" or something to that effect.

In the result screen I see after doing "Inactive Members for at least XX days", there is indeed the public name, username and a number.

At my board, this number is not the number of posts of a user, but the number of days the user is allready inactive.

Is there a setting or mod, so that it displays the number of posts

sorry, I was going off of what 1979Z28 said.  As I mentioned, this screen could use some work by actaully labeling what it is we are looking at.  Disregard my comments about  "0" posts.  Now this mod makes a bit more sense.  Perhaps some one will be interested in reworking this entire feature to make it work better for all.
