The "remove more" option has been built into the 1.5.x version of the software.

I have found an issue with this mod, whjen I try to delete IM's via the check box I get taken to a screen that says

Hacker?


and thats it the IM's are not deletedbut the normal buttons still work.

And yes the delete box appears twice aswell at the top.

I got round the hacker error by removing the check under the IM remove section but that makes the IM box system a little less secure, so I have removed this mod pending a fix either by me or some one else.

I do have a few other mods installed, BUT every step went fine on board mod once I corrected the error in which file it was editing.

After changing the .mod file to edit the InstantMessage.php file, it installed without errors.  I also have the delete field in their twice.

When I delete IM's with this mod, it also says:

Hacker?

 

Nice mod once the bugs get fixed...

Also it only works on the Inbox, if I try and delete multiple messages from mky outbox nothing happens.

Hmm ok, I think it is probably the search/replace part as a lot of the InstantMessage.php file has similar code. I will take another look at it this week and see if I can find the problem.

I am guessing since there have been problems reported he they have taken it down while the code is double checked.

I have people who had over 140 IM's ....

Can admins view the member's IMs?  Just curious as to what the privacy factor is.

If they have access to phpMyAdmin they can. But through YaBBSE they can't, as far as I know!

This doesn't make it any different for viewing IMs it just gives people a faster way to delete them. I don't think it is possible for anyone to see anyone elses IM's through the actual YaBB software although as Cyco said you can see anything if you goto the database directly.

And since the version posted didn't work properly I won't be emailing it to anyone. I should hopefully have a fix this weekend but I am fairly busy atm.

With a little tweaking, this should also be possible to add on the messageindex, so an admin can delete multiple topics to clean up the boards once in a while.....
