I don't refuse to help, I refuse to waste my time on something that would be nothing more than a toy. If he'd given a good reason, I'd have been happy to write a traceroute script. (Although it would probably be a mighty pain in the arse, considering I haven't been able to find any ICMP related functions in the PHP help, and so I'd have to write it using sockets)
I did not do any of that and it still helped him out a bunch. It took me a few minutes to find out what the hell a traceroute was and how to send a link to one. Then another few minutes to find where to put it. As you can see I left the actual traceroute part to him to figure out. I know PHP... not what ever makes a traceroute. It took me about 10 minutes. Probably slightly more time than was wasted on "discussing" its usefullness.
I think I would be able to find a lot of 'mods' on theses boards that more than a few people think are useless but others find to be a huge value.
