Ok, my last project fell apart... So I'm going to try this again.
What I think would be really cool is to add a mailing list manager/form subscription process to YaBB SE. This would allow users to sign up for mailing lists as well as enter additional information about themselves in their bio.
Basically I want to merge Yabb SE with this:

An admin can create and delete mailing lists via the admin page, users can subscribe to a mailing list via a mailing list subscription page and/or their profile page. Additional profile information (such as company name, phone number, etc) would be available in the profile (along with hide buttons for each). All this would be linked to the YaBB SE database so that there is one login, one profile, one central area for information.
One last thing that would be cool... It would be neat if there was an option for the user to select plain text, html, or web based for delivery formats. If they choose web based it would go to their YaBB SE inbox rather than via e-mail. Just a thought.
Is this possible? I think adding this to YaBB would make it *incredibly* powerful and set her apart from the rest. Am I off my rocker?
