Hi!  Love this mod!!!

One question though.

I have a thread, that I'm testing the mod in.  When I delete a reply, it all works fine.  

If I delete the 1st post, I no longer see the reply in the  >>View Messages area.  

Undeleting the 1st post does not cause the replies to come back for undeletion...

Any ideas?

I currently have installed, in this order:

Announcement (reporter mod)
Undelete Mod
UserCensor Mod

 You are not allowed to delete the first post in a topic.

I tried this MOD and love the idea, especially with what I'm doing.
BUT
It appears it created a number problems.

1.  After the MOD had made all changes it saved the Modsettings.php file to lowercase "modsettings.php".
It was a while before I could work out why I could not see the settings in the mod file, (it was still using the old file).

2.  The next problem was that I could not do anything with it. When I clicked on the link to look at the undelete screen all I was presented with was a blank screen. absolutely nothing and no error messages.

3.  The other thing that was a major problem and I am 99% sure this mod did this.  The search function would not work properly. It would only fiind a few items of what was looked for. This response seemed a random thing, but was consistant in that it only found the few, same subjects each time. With out this mod the Search work perfect.

4. one last problem was it put in an extra " } " in one of the files, (I'm sorry this was at least 2 weeks ago I tried this mod) I'm sure it was this file"ModifyMessage.php"
The modify message just would not work at all with it in.

Sorry not complaining but I think this one needs a couple more refinements, so it's a solid mod.


P.S. I installed and unistalled this MOD twice both times with the same response and both times NO install errors.

still can you these engages improve?
if nothing was deleted, one sees only an empty screen. the communication would be better you at the message: "nothing was still deleted"
however, you deleted a message then yet one doesn't see these deleted message, if one deletes a communication, no topic. this one left doesn't have to be dialed although there the deleted message are available in the database!

I recently installed your mod for the Undelete of topics.. It looks like a great mod.. but unfortunately when I put the undelete_dbmod.php into my root YaBBSE and select Install, I see that it adds a parameter for ?continue=1, but the screen just flashes and returns me to the menu to install/uninstall.  I see in the script that it is supposed to modify the tables, but it doesn't appear to be doing this..  
 
Any thoughts?  It looks like others have been successful with this..

I did it manually in phpadmin, cause when I click on the link it goes to a page not found.

I am rather new to PHP..  Could you please tell me how to do this via PHPAdmin?  I am sure I can fumble through it, but if I had some insight it might help me along!!

I was thinking about giving it a go but now that snYpir is online, he can do much better and faster job at adapting this mod to YaBBSE 1.5.

It will be updated within the next week (fingers crossed). There are some bugs that need removing also, i think.

I just upgraded our forum to 1.5, and am going through the process of upgrading all of our mods.

The zip (in the first post) now includes a YaBB SE 1.5 compatible version.

I have fixed the issues mentioned by everyone - sorry for the MASSIVE delay (i sorta lost interest in YaBB for awhile there).

I have installed this mod succesfully on my yabbse 1.5 board from scratch.

The db mod file now works correctly, and there is a message saying 'no deleted topics or messages'.

I also fixed a bug that was preventing topics from being cleared after a period of time.

i may follow this up with a YaBBpak version - i prefer boardmod because i can see EXACTLY what a mod is doing to my board.

both the 1.4.1 and 1.5 version have had the bug fixes done.

any problems?

i've had troubles running your undeletedbmod.php

i had to uncomment the exit
and add $continue = 1;
to install it.

i had the same error with the yabbse1.5.0 update install script.

can any one tell me why

i swear i don't have any idea why the db mod file doesn't work.

Mr.Sins - I just updated the zip in the first post with another updated undelete_dbmod.php file.

please try it and let me know if it works any better - it is exactly the same as the one used for the YaBB SE 1.5 upgrade...
