Newbie's question...

Having looked around at other baords that have multi-language support. YABB SE certainly looks the best. My question at the moment is, does the use of a language pack change the interface language or only enable messages to be written in that language [Thai , for example]?

I aim to use the board as a value-added service for my hosting and design site [given free of course] and will let you all know when the site is finished and the baord is up and running as a demo.

It changes everything but:
The Name Of The Board
The Posts Replies/Topics/Polls

Besides that, I think almost everything else is changed!

The only other thing is it can not yet do text from right to left.  Someone was asking about this a few days ago so you may want to find that thread if that is something you need.

Not quite, but almost... The ALT text for gender images on message display are hard-coded to "Male" and Female" and does not change with the language (for some reason).

There are also a few images that do not change with the language but are hard-coded - Namely new.gif (the tiny "New" icon next to threads), new_some.gif and new_none.gif (the "New posts" and "No new posts" texts at the bottom of the forum index), plus the admin/moderator buttons below posts (Move, Delete, etc).

Apart from that, everything should change with the language selection though. Hopefully, those few problems will be fixed soon...
